Ramadan Kareem 2013
“O you who believe! Observing As-Saum (the fasting) is prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you, that you may become Al-Muttaqun.” [Q: 2:183]
Ramadan is a month that is a gift from Allah (swt.) He gifts us with a month of spiritual renewal. Revival, Cleansing and restoration. We are human. We are weak. Each Ramadan, Allah (swt) gives us the opportunity to get back on track. To get back on the straight path. To multiply our blessings enormously. He seals the gates of hell and chains the devils. He opens the gates of Jannah- and keeps them open.
It is a time that if one does not take advantage of it’s many blessings, it’s truly a loss.
A billion and a half Muslims worldwide celebrate together, this holy month. Alhamdulillah!
Do not miss out on this opportunity to right your wrongs.
To break your bad habits.
To shift gears- and stop doing the same routine of mindless chatter, social networking or other time wasters.
Read Qur’an, get back in touch with yourself and your faith. Get closer to Allah (swt).
Make up with your brothers and your neighbors. Bite your tongue. Give charity.
Make dua for all of our brothers and sisters around the globe suffering oppression and pain.
Only Allah (swt) knows how much time we each have on earth. Don’t waste it.
Blessed is the Holy Month of Ramadan. We welcome it with open arms! We thank Allah (swt) our Creator and Sustainer for this gift. And we pray we may see each day of this month and receive it’s many rewards!
Ramadan Mubarak! Peace and blessings to you and yours! May the greatest blessings of this glorious month be yours, inshaAllah!
