Muslim Activist Banned from Facebook for Responding to Trump’s Islamophobia
Be careful what you wish for. Donald Drumpf seems to be projecting his fear of actually reaching his goals of moving into the white house which would put him in a precarious situation. He would actually have to stop pretending to know things and would actually have to know things and talk coherently. Not just with media outlets that cater to his every move with free air time- but to world leaders too. He would finally have to start conversing with the 70% of Americans that he has ostracized and that think he’s unqualified and uncivilized. You know- the rest of us that don’t care that he’s gotta a guy and he’s the best guy that anybody’s ever seen. Or that this guy’s guys have guys that are better than anybody’s else’s guys’ guys.
Drumpf has gone full out Hitler on the Muslim community. He wants us profiled. Marked. Treated as the Zionists are treating Palestinians at this moment. And it’s a deplorable display of the rock bottom place we have now found ourselves in our political election process.
More disturbing, our esteemed civil rights leader out of Chicago, Ahmed Rehab, has now been banned from Facebook twice. His posts calling out the disturbing politics of Drumpf are getting him banned from posting content on the social media site where he has thousands of followers. The first ban was for 2 days. This morning I learned- he was banned again. This is outrageous and scarily feels like Nazi Germany right about now.
Some suspect his account is being targeted by the islamophobia network. When you tell hate-filled sheeple to report a post, they all come in droves and listen to commands and do as they are told. It is possible that the sheer number of hate-filled sheeple reporting his posts kicked off some policy to get him banned. No one is certain at this point- but we are certain that this is wrong. And I think it’s time we speak with Facebook directly.
Freedom of speech applies to all individuals and all activists- not just the ones funded by hate groups and have free media hours and attention given to them.
The posts in question are displayed below. They display points that are critical at this time when the media outlets push out the narratives they don’t want to dominate society. Social media is a tool the rest of us use to have a voice in a country where media outlets saturate the masses with fear and hate. I read Rehab’s posts. I have found nothing in them that violates anything Facebook would deem against their policy. But I do find freedom of speech being violated for Ahmed Rehab and by extension – the rest of us in the Muslim community and the community at large that values freedom of speech.
So Facebook ….. what gives??
